Dr. David Elson
I am a graduate of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS), where I was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society and received the prestigious Kenneth M. Klein award for my contributions to medical education. I also graduated with a Distinction in Entrepreneurship, reflecting my commitment to innovation in healthcare.
With over 20 years of experience in medical education, I have had the privilege of teaching thousands of medical students, shaping the future of healthcare. After completing my Internal Medicine Residency at Westchester Medical Center, a Tier 1 trauma center, where I treated complex patients with end-stage organ diseases and cancer, I chose to focus on outpatient primary care. This decision reflects my passion for building long-term, meaningful relationships with my patients.
As your primary care physician, I see my role not only as a healthcare provider but also as an educator and coach. The Latin root of the word “doctor” means “to teach,” and I take that responsibility to heart. I am dedicated to empowering my patients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their health, with a special focus on disease prevention. In my final year of residency, I led quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving blood pressure control, and I remain passionate about preventing conditions like hypertension before they can impact quality of life.
